Definition of Pen-Pusher
A pen-pusher is an officer worker or clerk who does dull and repetitive paperwork. It can also be used disparagingly to refer to low-level bureaucrats. In American English the term is “pencil-pusher”.
Examples of Usage of Pen-Pusher
I don’t know about too many bosses, but I think we have far too many pen-pushers in this company. He spent his entire working life as a pen-pusher in the bowels of a multinational company. What a waste of any latent talents he might once have had.
