Examples of Usage of White as a sheet
As a policeman, I used to hate having to go and tell people that their loved ones had been killed or seriously injured in accidents. As soon as they saw me on the doorstep, they would turn white as a sheet. I don’t know what had happened in there, but as soon as I walked in I could see that they were both as white as a sheet.
