Definition of Hard cheese
Hard cheese means that you are the victim of bad luck or something unpleasant but that you’ll just have to accept it. We also use the term tough cheese.
Examples of Usage of Hard cheese
So you didn’t get picked for the football team. So what? You’re not good enough. Hard cheese. Oh! Somebody stole your bike. Hard cheese!
