When we say that something is “the cream of the crop”, we mean that it is the best of its kind.
Examples of Usage of Cream of the crop
They’re going to be looking for the best candidates during this interview. They only want the cream of the crop. As far as museums go, I have to say that this one was the cream of the crop as far as weapons and armour go.
